THE SOCK SCRAMBLE IS STILL UNDERWAY BRING IN SOCKS TO ASB TO SUPPORT THE HOMELESS POPULATION OF SAN DIEGO. 20 pairs gets you a Spirit Dress pass or “Bayer Buck.” If can raise over 1000, the school will get spirit dress for a week.
OUR SAINTSMEN COMPETED IN THE CHRISTIAN INVITATIONAL WITH PRELIMS ON FRIDAY AND FINALS ON SATURDAY. We competed against 6 teams throughout San Diego and one from Riverside County. As a team, the boys finished 2nd overall. Individual standouts were Brendan Brooker taking 3rd place in the 100-yard backstroke along with Max Martinez placing 3rd in the 500yd free. The 200 free relay team consisting of Steven Coons, Ethan Pinion-Larkin, Eli Walulik, and Royce Acosido placed 2nd. Also, the 400-yard relay team placed 2nd. The swimmers on that team were Steven Coons, Brendan Brooker, Ethan Pinion-Larkin, and Max Martinez.
REMINDER STAFF AND STUDENTS: The fans are in the arenas again. There are tournament sites across the country. March Madness is back! The NCAA tournament is right around the corner and once again we will be hosting the Hogar Infantil Bracket Challenge. The cost is $10 per entry or 3 for $20. The overall winner will get a $200 Visa gift card, winners at each grade level and the faculty/alumni winner will win a $50 Visa gift card. Additional prizes will be raffled off just for participating. Get swept up in the excitement of March Madness, win prizes, and support a great cause. ALL STUDENT ATHLETES IN THE CLASS OF 2023 AND 2024 –NEXT YEAR JUNIORS AND SENIORS. There will be a mandatory meeting in room 434 during lunch, TODAY, TUESDAY MARCH 15TH for anyone playing football and or anyone interested in playing football next year please come, even if you’re in another sport currently. You must arrive no later than 8:45 a.m., wearing your best clothes. Inform your parents/guardians to be in attendance with you for this very special occasion. Immediately after Mass, the Brunch, for which you and your parents/guardians must sign up on-line through the Saints website, will take place at the Bali-Hai on Shelter Island.
