THE SWIM TEAM FINISHED OFF THEIR TWO-DAY MEET IN STYLE AT THE CITY CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Placing a strong 7th place out of 17 High Schools. Captain Steven Coons once again lead the way placing 6th in the 50 free and 8th 100 free in the Championship Final. Brendan Brooker had one of the best individual swims on the day. Dropping 3 seconds off his prelim time with a 57.91 in the 100 Fly. Borrowing an analytical breakdown from Arizona State’s Asst HC Max Martinez dropped 3 seconds off his 200 free prelim time going 1:57.01. The boy’s 4×100 free relay dropped 2 seconds as a team and placed 5th overall. The team of Steven Coons, Max Martinez, Andrew Bier, and Joesph Ngyuen fended off Coronado’s relay team that was determined to take us down. Better luck next time Coronado! The Swim Team moves onto CIF Prelims Thursday and Finals Saturday.
