CULTURAL CELEBRATION SPIRIT DAY
NEXT MONDAY, OCTOBER 24TH WILL BE CULTURAL CELEBRATION SPIRIT DAY. Our big four culture clubs: BSU, Chaldean Club, Asian American Alliance, and MEXUS will be selling cultural dishes and playing cultural music at Lunch on Monday. To celebrate our diverse community, feel free to wear something representing your heritage or country of origin. An example would be a national team jersey of your country of origin, bringing a flag to drape around your shoulders, or if your culture has a traditional cultural wear feel free to wear it.
HIKING CLUB
HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THE “SECRET SWING” IN SAN DIEGO? Do you want to see the colorful Sungod of UCSD? The Hiking Club’s first hike of the year will be an easy stroll starting at the “secret swing” in La Jolla then following the hiking trail to UCSD’s campus, seeing the famous Stuart Collection such as the Sungod, the giant boulder bear, and the snake path leading up to the magical Geisel Library, named after Dr. Suess. There will be a lunch meeting on THURSDAY in room 102 (Mr. Wallace’s) for more information and permission slips. Anyone who wants to hike and see UCSD is welcome! The hike will be this Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8:45am. See Ms. Colorado or Gavin Beresford for any questions.

DO YOU LOVE DOGS? ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SERVICE HOURS? Are you also good with social media? If the answer is “yes” to those three questions, then get involved with “Pawsitive Teams”, a non-profit organization for service and therapy dogs that is looking for a volunteer to help out with social media.
