NO SHAVE NOVEMBER BEGINS THIS WEEK
No Shave November begins this week!
$20 for the orphans gets you a month pass on facial hair dress code. Prizes will be awarded for the best beard and best mustache grown by November 28th! For those who are facial hair challenged a No Shave participant, also gets spirit dress every Monday in November. No shave ends November 29th, The Day of Service. Everyone must be clean shaven for Mass November 30th.
ST. AUGUSTINE CAR CLUB
Attention all Saintsmen. Do you LOVE cars? Well, this Friday at Lunch and after school, our St. Augustine Car Club will be hosting its third annual car show! Come on down to check out some hot rods and enjoy some delicious food. We will also hold a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going toward the Hogar Infantil La Gloria Orphanage. Basketball
Basketball tryouts will begin Saturday, November 5 in the Gym
JV/Varsity will tryout from 10-11:30 am
Freshman will tryout from noon-1:30 pm
All Freshmen will tryout at noon on Saturday. Make sure that you have your physical on file with Coach Klapmeier or you will not be allowed to tryout. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please see Coach Haupt before Saturday the 5th. Thanks.
WRESTLERS
CALLING ALL WRESTLERS! There will be a Mandatory Wrestling Meeting at lunch this Wednesday, November 2, at noon, in the bleachers in the gym immediately outside of the wrestling room. Come to the Wrestling Room and you will find us!
After the mandatory team meeting, Super Bowl Champion and former freestyle world wrestling champion Steve Neal will be available to talk to potential dual sport athletes.
Also, on November 3, 2022, 6:30 pm, we will have a Parents Only Informational Meeting in the Commons (the Gym Lobby).
Lastly, our first practice is this Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 9:00 am. Please contact Coach Perez for additional information.
Don’t be late for the Mandatory Team Meeting on November 2 at noon. The meeting will be 15 minutes or less.
SAINTS RUGBY
ANYONE INTERESTED IN PLAYING SAINTS RUGBY IN THE WINTER SPORT SEASON NEEDS TO GET YOUR NAME ON THE TRYOUT ROSTER BY THURSDAY. Mr. Dent will check that you are eligible to play sports for the school. Also, students can play touch rugby and work skills after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:15-3:15 p.pm. These are non-contact games. Everyone is invited to join us. See Mr. Dent if you have questions.
LEADERSHIP POSITION
CLASS OF 2026, APPLY NOW FOR A LEADERSHIP POSITION! There are 9 positions available, 5 ASB members and 4 Pit Leaders. Leadership positions will be chosen by Lottery on November 15th at 7:00 a.m. in the Theater.
