SAINTS GRAND PRIX
REV YOUR ENGINES SAINTSMEN for the first St. Augustine Grand Prix at K1 Speed! It will take place on November 13th which is St. Augustine’s birthday, a perfect reason to celebrate with some “friendly” racing. There are only 15 open spots in the race left. NO SHAVE NOVEMBER
Tired of Shaving, want to support the orphans? No Shave November begins this week. Your $20 donation to the orphans earns you a no facial hair dress code pass for the month of November, a fashionable black wristband, and you get extra spirit dress days every Thursday in November (the 7th, 14th, and 21st). Stop by ASB to register.
RUGBY
Saintsmen,
Saints Rugby will start the winter season with tryouts on Sat Nov 9th from 830-1030. You need to sign up on the roster sheet in room 229 to be verified as eligible to play sports at Saints. There will also be a meeting in Room 229 on Thursday at lunch to go over the season and tryouts. See Mr Dent if you have any questions
BASKETBALL
Anyone interested in playing basketball this winter tryouts begin Saturday 11/9 in the Saints gym. JV/Var tryouts run from 10-11:30 am and Frosh tryouts will be held from 11:30-1 pm. Please arrive 30 minutes early so we can make sure you have your physicals turned in. If you have not turned in a physical, you cannot try out until it has been turned in to Coach Klap. Tryouts will continue Monday 11/11 (yes we will work out on Veterans Day). JV/Varsity will go from 10-11:30 am and Frosh will be from 11:30 am to 1 pm. All frosh will begin with the frosh tryouts. If you have any questions or cannot attend the beginning of tryouts please see Coach Haupt.
ROOM 223 FILMS
Room 223 Films is producing a short film of the fight scenes from Romeo and Juliet. We are auditioning for Romeo, Mercutio, Benvolio and Tybalt. Background actors will also be critical to this production. See Mr. Manley in Room 223 before the end of the school day this Friday or contact Mr. Manley at his school email: kmanley@sahs.org
INDOOR VOLLEYBALL
There is an indoor volleyball meeting on Thursday at lunch in room 326. There will be information about open gyms and tryouts in February.
