Coach Ryan Krum enters his 1st season on staff at St. Augustine High School, coming to us from Valhalla High School. He is excited to join the Brotherhood and work with one of the best football staffs in San Diego. This will be his 3rd year coaching offensive line.
Coach Krum started his college football career at Grossmont junior college where he played center, earning all-conference honors in 2013. From Grossmont he accepted a football scholarship to The University of Alabama at Birmingham where he redshirted his lone season. Shortly after the 2014 season UAB cancelled the football program and he transferred to San Diego State University to finish out his collegiate career. Coach Krum had the opportunity to be a part of a team at SDSU that won back to back Mountain West championships (2015 & 2016), Hawaii Bowl champions, and Las Vegas Bowl champions.
Shortly after finishing up his playing career Coach Krum started his coaching career in 2017 at Sweetwater High School where he was the varsity offensive line coach and JV offensive coordinator. Coach Krum was born and raised in San Diego, attended Valhalla High School while lettering in Football, Lacrosse, and Track & Field. Go Saints!
