In dramatic football action Tuesday on the senior stadium grassy sod, sweaty fans were entertained by Captain Connor Haupt’s team, Brick Squad, which narrowly escaped Captain John Willeford’s Team, Our Other Name, 32 to 28. The MVPs were Eduardo Acosta, Chris Shelton and Joey Mazzeo. Playing on the upper field’s rubberized home turf, Captain Peter Macie’s Team, Movin It, picked up an automatic win from Captain Vinny Ruiz’s team, the Gold Cow Bells, who showed up but were short players because of injuries. No forfeit here since most of the players did show up In other games Captain Joe Murray’s team, Purple Cow Bells, churned up Captain Terry Wright’s team Los Mocos, 13 to 7. Joe Murray and Jack Dashwood were honored as the game’s finest players. Meanwhile Captain Trey Kell’s team, sporting the unique name of the Purple Cow Kells, vanquished Captain Brock Crecy’s 4th and a Yard 24 to 14. Sean Sullivan demonstrated why he was chosen the most outstanding player of the game.
