INTRAMURAL SPORTS CENTER SUPERBOWL NEWS THRUSDAY – DECEMBER 6, 2012

Yesterday intramural fans were treated to a very enjoyable event-the 51st Intramural Championship Football game. The best of the best in the junior-senior division teams met the best of the best of the freshmen-sophomore teams. Captain Trey Kell’s junior team, the Purple Cow Kells met Captain Sam Matney’s sophomore team, the Pit bulls Many spirited fans witnessed very dynamic display in a lively football contest which demonstrated an exceptional degree of sportsmanship. Although Captain Sam Matney’s sophomore team, the Pit bulls played with determination Captain Trey Kell’s junior team, the Purple Cow Kells had too much fire power, size and speed. Too many intercepts spelled doom for the Pit bulls who although they had a lot of bite, they will able to muster only two touchdowns in forty minutes. The final score tells the story, Cow Kells 38, Pit bulls 14.

The sophomore class should be proud of their team, they played hard and well. In the end Captain Trey Kell’s junior team is the Superbowl Champions this year. Most valuable players were Trey Kell, Sam Flamming, Connor Wharry, Chris Dunn and Sean Sullivan, Sam Matney and Vincent Talia. Dallas Haupt was the overall mvp with many receptions and interceptions.

Special thanks to our fine referees: Connor Haupt, Cody Russell, Tom Blick, Sean Coyne, and Daniel Caya. The intramural program is grateful for the work of the Announcers: Pat Hagan, Erik Dexter

Score Keepers: Dan Ramirez, Brandon Shaw-Cedeno, the ASB under the direction of Mr. Inzunza, Mr. Joe Cortez and Mr. Tom Bischel, and certainly Mrs. Shaw along with homeroom teachers and Mr. Sipper.

Saints intramural football is mindboggling, indescribable, enthralling, fascinating, charming and irrevocably fannnn….tastic!
