Bill Whittaker (’46)

• In 1946 he graduated from St. Augustine High School.
• In 1956 he joined the coaching staff and served continuously through 1990.
• In 1958 he was named varsity baseball coach and served as head coach for 27 years.
• Complied 247 career baseball wins.
• Served for several decades as the Athletic Director.
• Continues to this day to coach freshman baseball.
• Has served serveral major league teams as a scout.
• Is one of the most recognizable names and faces in St. Augustine history
