ATTENTION SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS AND SENIORS: The Prospective List of Candidates for California Scholarship Federation for 2009-2010 Semester I has been posted on the Library Bulletin Board, on the Academic Bulletin Board second floor of Villanova Hall at the Counseling Center and in the Registrar’s Office. If you are a candidate please pick up an application from Mrs. Oliwa in the Registrar’s Office. The form must be completed and returned to Mrs. Oliwa no later than Monday March 1st with the $2.00 application fee. If your name does not appear on the list and you feel you may qualify please see Mrs. Oliwa.

 

AP MEETING: For those students whose parents or guardians missed the first two AP Meetings, the next one is scheduled for Thursday, March 4th at 8:00 a.m. in the library.

 

THE SAINTS RUGBY TOURNAMENT WILL START TODAY. Speed Kills led by Eric Dexter will play Joe McCabe’s Dominance. The second game will be Matt Howder’s Manchowder and Crew versus Evan Suda’s Los Huerfanos. The final match will be Gavin Quigley’s Mean Machine versus Peter Hulburt’s WTF: Way Too Fast. The games start at 11:35 so eat a quick snack and get suited out to play some rugby.

 

THE VARSITY SOCCER TEAM PLAYS AFTER SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY AT 3:00 in the quarter-finals here at Saints. As a result of a great season so far, we are ranked #1 Overall in the county and earned the #1 seed for the playoffs. There are a lot of talented teams in our Division so we really need your support. Please come out to the game and help create a true home field advantage.

REMINDER: Key Club will continue its ELECTRONICS DRIVE next Thursday in Block 1. Mr. Inzunza’s Block 1 class currently has the lead. We will be collecting used electronics (cell phones, iPods, inkjet cartridges, video games, etc). The Block 1 class that collects the most will receive a free ice cream party. The ELECTRONICS DRIVE will end on Wednesday, March 9th.

 

INTRAMURAL SPORTS CENTER NEWS THURSDAY FEBRUARY 25, 2010

Intramural fans were treated to four fine games yesterday.

Nick Sullivan’s Show Me barbequed Nate Rains Chickens 17 to 13. The chief chef was Bobby Kinslow hosted as the MVP. Meanwhile, Evan Suda’s Lepers arrested Gavin Quigley’s Quest 8 to 1. Charlie Madruga was the favorite Leper being honored as MVP of the game. Most valuable player, Patrick Levell, led Captain Drew Madsen’s H 1 & 1 as they blew away the Coco Puffs 16 to 14.

Tommy Blick received the most valuable award while leading Captain Josh Jimenez’s We’re Wet to a resounding victory over Captain Joey Ramm’s Fold-Up Chairs with the score of 20 to 12.
